Racing Again

The whole family did a 5-K this Saturday. The kids and I walked it while Bret Ran. When Bret was done, he walked back to get the kids so I could walk with more speed. The kids and I did 2 miles at about 18 minutes each, then I did the last one in about 13 minutes. Bret ran the 3 miles in 23 minutes. We both scored in the middle of our age ranges for our events. The kids were not registered, so we do not have an official time for them. I will post the photo as soon as it is available.

Yay! I was half thinking about the Penang (half) Marathon coming up in June, but when I heard about it, there were only about 10 or 11 weeks left, and that wasn't enough time to train, plus I'm really scared to do it with my hypoglycemia, especially with it not in check. I've been meaning to write something on here about the hypoglycemia. I guess I will have to do that soon. The cool thing about the Penang Marathon is that it goes over the Penang bridge (to the mainland) which is --depending who you ask-- one of the top 3 or 10 longest bridges in the world!
