I'm doing really well so far. I apologize for being so lame about keeping it logged in. I was never very good at journaling. This is similar.
My Saturday walk was supposed to be 6 miles. I made arrangements to do it with a friend (watch for her to appear on this blog soon). She got tired of waiting for me and started without me.
I finally caught up with her at her 2 miles, my 1 mile. Our final distance was 6 for her and 5 for me. Good enough for me. Later that day, Bear and I went rafting. I rowed fairly aggressively for about 2 hours.
Between the walking and rowing, everything on my body hurt the next day. I lay in bed and did nothing.
Today, my period started and two guinnea pigs died, so I did not get out for my walk. Life always seems to take center stage.
I am in awe of people who are able to put their fitness first. Or maybe it is their support system. There is no way I could have left the kids today to go for my walk. Bret is out of town and can't help out. But I still don't think I could have gone after what the kids went through today.
Been lame too. I thought I could just post my Nike+ last 5 runs, but since that changes every time I update Nike+, that's no good. So I have been wanting to do the longer saturday runs out in the real world, but this past one didn't work out (waited too long and it was HOT). So I did my Monday run outside instead. I'm doing ok, and my pace is improving, but I have been tired the last couple of runs and had to take breaks. :( Also, I am not really seeing anything in the bod still so that's still discouraging. Trying to control the eating a bit, but when I am tired after a rough night with the baby, eating crap is all I want to do. :(
We're a group of average ladies looking to push ourselves to accomplish something awesome. Some of us want to lose weight, some of us just want the challenge itself. Our first goal is complete: run/walk a half marathon!
